Report says the local government election holding across lagos state witnessed a low turnout of voters.
It was gathered that voters trickled out to cast their votes in polling centres in badagry, alimosho, epe, mushin and odi-olowo local government councils.
While speaking with newsmen, some of the voters attributed the poor turnout to lack of sufficient public awareness about the election, urging relevant authorities to ensure better publicity in the future.
Reacting after casting his vote at polling unit 019, ward 08, ikoyi, governor babajide sanwo-olu called on electorates to seize the election period to express themselves freelyand openly.
