Nigeria has recorded no fewer than 565 new covd-19 cases and eight deaths.

The nigeria centre for disease control, ncdc while disclosing this to newsmen attributed the surge to the highly transmissible delta variant and low vaccination rates across the country.

Adding  that the new cases were reported in 13 states and the fct as lagos state recorded the highest infections with 205 followed  by rivers with 73 cases, ondo -63, fct -53, oyo -53, ekiti -37, delta -24, edo -20, and benue -12, bayelsa -6, kwara -6, osun -6, ogun -5 and adamawa -2.

 the health body therefore advice the  general public  to stay at home and contact their  state ministry of health if you have a cough, fever or experiencing  and any of these symptoms, loss of taste/smell, difficulty breathing, diarrhoea, catarrh, fatigue, ‪shivering, body pain, headache and sore throat,.


The abuja chamber of commerce and industry, acci, has revealed that nigeria is targeting about 150 billion dollars investment from the international halal expo.

The president of acci, dr. Al-mujtaba abubakar, made the revelation at a virtual press conference to announce the expo scheduled to hold on september 14 to 16, 2021 at the abuja trade and convention centre.

Abubakar who noted that the investment would target nigeria’s cosmetic, pharmaceutical and tourism sectors, added that the expo would also serve as a launch pad to attract new businesses for nigeria and africa at large.

On his part, the executive director, atc, mr. Jude chime, disclose that the country will be signing a memorandum of understanding, mou, to expand the frontiers of trade in the halal industry.
