The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the results of candidates who sat for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, conducted between June 19 and 22.
JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja, saying the results would be relayed to immediately after the candidates follow the instructions given to check results.
Benjamin therefore advised each concerned candidate to check their result by sending UTMERESULT to 55019 through the GSM number used by each candidate to obtain profile code and UTME registration with the board.
He however warned that the board would not hesitate to withdraw the results of any candidate subsequently found to have committed any form of examination misconduct.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed additional 26 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 167 thousand, 401.
NCDC made the confirmation via its official social media handle, stating that the 26 cases were reported in six states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
According to the health agency, Lagos State recorded 13 cases, Kaduna had 4 cases, Kwara and Rivers states recorded 2 cases each, while FCT and Gombe reported one case each.
It added that 16 people have been treated and discharged from isolation centers across the Country, while 2,118 deaths was recorded across the States of the Federation.
No fewer than three persons have died and dozens more injured in a rare tornado that razed houses to the ground in the southeastern axis of Czech Republic.
Local emergency service spokeswoman, Hedvika Kropackova, made the disclosure to newsmen, saying 63 injured persons have been taken to hospital, with 10 of them suffering from serious injuries.
Kropackova explained that the tornado and hail, weighing the size of tennis balls, struck several towns and villages including Hodonin, causing extensive power outages and traffic disruptions as well as massive destruction of homes.
She, however, added that the rescue operation to rescue others who are trapped under the rubble is underway.
