Nigeria customs service, NCS, has threatened to impound private Jets with unverified Documents as from July 6, 2021.
NCS’s public relations officer, Joseph Attah, gave the threat while speaking with Newsmen, saying private Jet owners have been given a one-month grace period in line with an ongoing audit of privately-owned aircraft operating in Nigeria.
Attah explained that the move became necessary as some private Jet owners brought in Aircraft under the temporary import permit in which the period for such temporary importation has expired.
He therefore urged owners of private Aircrafts or their representatives to report to the customs headquarters in Abuja before July 6, with all necessary documents, warning that failure to do so would attract sanction.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, says Additional 240 People have been discharged after successful treatment across the Country.
NCDC made this known via its official Website, stating that the Nation’s total recoveries had increased to 163,797 as of June 21.
The Heath Agency also reported additional 86 new cases of covid-19 from three states of the federation, stating that Lagos had 52 more new cases, while Ondo had 31 and Adamawa recorded 3, bringing the total number of infections in the Country to 167, 292.
It added that the Country had successfully tested 2 million, 666 thousand, 691 samples out of over 200 Million Nigerian population.
Head of the Roman Catholic Church Worldwide, Pope Francis, has assured the Nigerian Government of his readiness to help the Country end the lingering Security crisis.
Pope Francis gave the assurance while receiving a letter of credence from the Nigerian Ambassador to the Holy See, Ambassador Paul Adikwu.
